Danielle Hughes

Hello and welcome to my webpage! I am a singer/songwriter who has been recording music for many years. Most recently, one of my original songs was included on a compilation CD for our town of Ramona, California.

I also have hosted live radio and wrote and recorded radio commercials and Station Identification (SID) spots. You can read my biography and listen to some examples of my radio spots below.

Biography

I would like to tell you a little bit about myself (which admittedly is a little hard to do because I have always written about other people!). Throughout my life I have had the blessing to be involved in creative, entrepreneurial endeavors.  It all started in my college days when I had the opportunity to start a children’s summer camp at Marine World Africa USA in Redwood City, CA.  From there I taught children, always incorporating music with my guitar.  After I got married, my husband and I started an online advertising business and music ministry, which involved interviewing and writing articles about successful, enthusiastic business owners and musicians.  More recently, I had pivotal experiences that helped me find a new passion! I was blessed to experience radio broadcasting with a major public Christian radio station, our home-based music ministry internet radio station, and a faith-based career ministry!  I had the chance to put my creative writing and voice to work by writing and recording radio commercials and radio SID spots.  I also hosted a music program 4 days a week! Behind the microphone is a place I have always enjoyed being, whether it has been in a music studio recording my original songs, leading worship at my church, soloing in various musical venues, or hosting a radio music program.  I have been strongly encouraged to pursue the radio and voiceover career field, and I look forward to moving ahead in something I thoroughly enjoy!  I believe the Lord has plans and purpose for different seasons in our lives, and I look forward to following His lead!  “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11)
